Subliminal Message

A cold windy January day along the industrial banks of the River Medway.  I was there photographing a ex cold war Russian Submarine that had been moored up at a bend in the river.
 
To the foreground remains of WW2 concrete tank traps line the toe path casting deep long shadows in the low winter sun. My landscape composition seemed complete with the industrial backdrop and a sky full of speeding clouds, but there was something missing…….I waited in the chill.
 
Finally the extra element arrived in the distance to my left. An Indian Lady walking briskly into the wind wrapped up for the cold was rapidly coming my way.  I knew from experience if I had the camera up to my eye people tend to change direction to walk behind you. So I kept the camera a chest height a made out I was fiddling about with its setting.  At fall pace she speed past me , but not before I got one shot fired.
